St. Matthews Non Profit Housing Inc (SMNPH) Board is governed by an 11 member Board of Directors. Three directors are appointed by each of the founding partners: St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and Grain of Wheat Church-Community and there are 5 Directors at Large. All Directors serve a 3 year term which may be renewed once. The current directors are:
Chair: Noelle Campbell
Noelle has a background in early childhood education. She is currently working at Wolseley Family Place as the Playroom Director and involved in parent education and support. She is a Grain of Wheat representative on the Board.
Vice-Chair: Marilyn Boyd
Marilyn is a retired Family Therapist and the former Director of Aurora Family Therapy Centre at the University of Winnipeg. She continues a private therapy practice and consultation and volunteers in a number of professional and community contexts. She is a representative of St. Matthew’s Church on the Board.
Secretary: Roger Gateson
Treasurer: Willy Fogang
Willy was born in Cameroon and moved to Canada in 2003. He received his Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in finance from the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Fredericton. In spite of working full-time, going to school part time and spending time with those he cares about dearly, he still manages to dedicate time to giving back to society. Community involvement is important to Willy and while in Ottawa, he volunteered for six years with St. Joseph’s Supper Table. He’s passionate about collaborative impact and community and strongly believes that achieving positive change is difficult and requires strong leadership. Willy is a Director -at-Large.
Keith is a registered social worker currently employed as a house manager in the disabilities’ field. Keith comes to the board with a background in property management and experience as a building superintendent. Keith is a Grain of Wheat representative on the Board.
Genny has worked in community development and family support for over 20 years in West Central Winnipeg. Currently she works as a Community Outreach Worker for Klinic Community Health Centre. Genny is a Director at Large on the Board.
Brynn is a social anthropologist, and graduate of the University of Oxford’s Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology, and the University of Manitoba’s Global Political Economy program. Her research has focused on cross-cultural exchange and learning, political-economic policy and community development, social justice, and the socio-cultural experience of space and landscape. Brynn volunteers in various community contexts in Winnipeg. She is a Director at Large.
Kemlin lives and has been active in the West End for a number of years. She is the current Executive Director of Daniel McIntyre / St. Matthews Community Association, which works with residents and stakeholders in these communities on various issues including poverty reduction, environmental sustainability, and social, cultural and economic renewal and revitalization in our neighbourhood. Kemlin is a Director at Large.
Len is a retired City of Winnipeg Police Officer who now works as an investigator for the Manitoba Securities Commission. He is a long time Anglican who represents St. Matthew’s Anglican Church on the Board.
