St. Matthews Non Profit Housing Inc (SMNPH) Board is governed by an 11 member Board of Directors. Three directors are appointed by each of the founding partners: St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and Grain of Wheat Church-Community and there are 5 Directors at Large. All Directors serve a 3 year term which may be renewed once. The current directors are:
Chair: Noelle Campbell
Noelle has a background in early childhood education. She is currently working at Wolseley Family Place as the Playroom Director and involved in parent education and support. She is a Grain of Wheat representative on the Board.
Vice-Chair: Marilyn Boyd
Marilyn is a retired Family Therapist and the former Director of Aurora Family Therapy Centre at the University of Winnipeg. She continues a private therapy practice and consultation and volunteers in a number of professional and community contexts. She is a representative of St. Matthew’s Church on the Board.
Secretary: Roger Gateson
Roger is a retired teacher. He began work with WestEnd Commons when, as a former Servant-Leader of Grain of Wheat, he served on the “early-days” planning committee with Cathy Campbell. Former Chair of the Construction Committee and Chairman of the Board, he is now Secretary. He is a representative appointed by Grain of Wheat Church-Community.
Treasurer: Ted Cotton
Ted is a CPA CMA who is a business instructor at Red River College. He is a St Matthew’s Anglican Church representative on the Board.
Keith is a registered social worker currently employed as a house manager in the disabilities’ field. Keith comes to the board with a background in property management and experience as a building superintendent. Keith is a Grain of Wheat representative on the Board.
Genny has worked in community development and family support for over 20 years in West Central Winnipeg. Currently she works as a Community Outreach Worker for Klinic Community Health Centre. Genny is a Director at Large on the Board.
Vincent is a political scientist with a background in research and data analysis as well as teaching. He currently works as a data analyst with the Manitoba Arts Council. Vincent is a Director at Large on the board.
Graham is an undergraduate student at the University of Winnipeg and plans to pursue a career in urban planning. He serves as a Director at Large on the board.
Len is a retired City of Winnipeg Police Officer who now works as an investigator for the Manitoba Securities Commission. He is a long time Anglican who represents St. Matthew’s Anglican Church on the Board.
There currently is one vacant position on the Board.
