May, 2012:
Work on the lower level is now almost complete and renovation is about to begin in the church sanctuary. In fact, in April, 2012, St. Matthew’s had a celebration of its history and thanksgiving for its ministry attended by many friends and presided over by Bishop Donald Phillips. April was the last occasion that the organ was in use before it was purchased by Holy Trinity Church in Winnipeg. St. Matthew’s Church also purchased 372 Maryland St. This will allow the north windows to be opened, the generators to be moved from the roof and the garbage bins from the sidewalk and for some green space.
